April 13, 3:25 p.m.) Food packaging specialist Bosch Packaging Technology has changed the names of some of its subsidiaries.

The Waiblingen, Germany-based company unveiled four new company names April 2, according to a news release.

New Richmond, Wis.-based Doboy Inc. is now Bosch Packaging Technology Inc.; Schiedam, Holland-based Dutch Tevopharm BV changed to Bosch Packaging Technology BV; Lausanne, Switzerland-based Demaurex SA is now Bosch Packaging Technology SA; and Weert, Holland-based Robert Bosch Verpakkingsmachines BV became Robert Bosch Packaging Technology BV.

The standardization of the subsidiary names emphasizes the company’s one-stop shopping strategy and allows it to leverage the Bosch brand worldwide, Friedbert Klefenz, the company’s president, said in the news release.

About half of Bosch's $890 million annual business is devoted to packaging solutions for fresh produce and other foods.

In 2008, the company introduced its ultrasonic sealing technology at the Pack Expo show in Chicago. The technology, which works on vertical form, fill and seal machinery, is billed by Bosch as an alternative to heat sealing.
