Nunes selects FoodLink for traceability

Inc. has selected Los Gatos, Calif.-based FoodLink as the company’s produce traceability solution provider for all field-packed produce grown and shipped in the U.S.

“We did a deep dive into the leading PTI solutions including field pilots,” Peter Townsend, IT Director for Salinas, Calif.-based Nunes, said in a Sept. 9 news release from FoodLink. “FoodLink stood out with its simple licensing model, inexpensive cost and mature ERP integration tools.”

FoodLink offers a combination of advanced case and item-level tracking with a broad commerce network of buyers and sellers transacting over the FoodLink network, according to the release.

“Leading growers and shippers such as The Nunes Co. really set the standard for how the produce industry moves forward with implementing produce traceability requirements,” Kevin Brooks, chief marketing officer for FoodLink, said in the release. “We are proud to work with such innovative organizations to help them bring fresh, safe and traceable food to their customers.”
