Winn-Dixie is now recalling mango spears, fruit burst and island medley varieties of cut fruit: www.businessweek.com/ap/2012-09-19/winn-dixie-expands-fruit-recall Too bad it couldn’t be sold within the last 3 weeks. It’s a crime to sell contaminated food. The problem is there is no trace-up system whatsoever!
Kroger announced today a recall of Spinach with a ‘best if used by” date of September 16. At least it has a GTIN number on the package to ring up the price at the checkout counter faster. With all the recall cost everyday you have save some money somewhere. The farmer and consumer has pay for this numbers with no advantage. It’s Russian roulette to buy food these days.
