Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Oviedo, Fla., is encouraging consumers to add citrus to their cooking with a promotion that places a coupon for a free cookbook from the Florida Department of Citrus on each of its 3-pound or larger citrus bags.

“This is a great opportunity to bring additional value to the consumer,” Mark Bassetti, senior vice president, said in a news release. “Offering a free Florida citrus cookbook is a convenient way for consumers to explore the variety of options our citrus products provide.”

The coupon will appear on the Dandy brand of Florida oranges, grapefruit and tangerines.

The grower-shipper began packing the couponed bags Feb. 21 and they should appear in stores by the end of the week, said Nichole Towell, marketing development manager.

The cookbook includes 34 recipes and information on citrus nutrition, varieties, seasonality, selection and storage. The promotion lasts through May 31 or while supplies last.
