Frieda’s Inc. says its new packaging design will have a positive effect on sales with the upcoming Chinese New Year on Jan. 26.
The 7.5-ounce tubs feature a bright purple and yellow Asian inspired design, president Karen Caplan said.
The refrigerated products can be lined up with lids facing out or stacked to save space. The names and designs are on both the lids and the sides of the containers.
“It’s much more space efficient for the retailer,” Caplan said.
The line includes bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and baby corn, and are ideal for merchandising in the fresh-cut section of produce departments, Caplan said in a news release.
