(July 29, 2:44 p.m.) Fruit Logistica, a Berlin-based international trade convention for the fresh produce industry, launched a new Web site in hopes of offering visitors information and tools in a user-friendly format.

The new site will enable visitors and exhibitors to better prepare for the show, Feb. 4-6, said Gerald Lamusse, global brand manager for Fruit Logistica, in a news release.

The online Fruit Logistica virtual market place has been streamlined and integrated into the existing exhibitor search function the site offers. The virtual marketplace allows buyers and trade visitors to set up meetings with exhibitors before an event.

“This is part of Fruit Logistica’s continuous drive to offer our customers, and the fresh produce trade in general, the best possible platform to do business,” Lamusse said in the release.
