Hearne Produce loses son, a longtime employee

(Nov. 24) BOCA RATON, Fla. — William Crisfield “Cris” Hearne, son of William P. and Judith Hearne, died Nov. 10 at his home in Boca Raton.

Hearne, 37, had worked for his family produce business, William P. Hearne Produce Co. Inc., Salisbury, Md., since he was a child and had spent the past 13 years with the company in sales.

He was born in St. Augustine, graduated from James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury and attended High Point University in High Point, N.C.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sharla; a daughter, Brittney; a son, Travis; three sisters, Neena Williams, Joann Spector and Susie Hearne; two brothers-in-law, Jeff Williams and Steve Spector; his grandmother, Lucille Hearne Andorka; three uncles, Steve Hearne, Randall Harvey and Don Porter; two aunts, Patti Hearne Porter and Jo Hearne; six nieces and nephews, and seven cousins.

Funeral services were Nov. 15 in Salisbury. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Humane Society of Wicomico County, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
