Pierre Dolbec, who has been vice president of sales and marketing for HydroSerre Mirabel Inc., Mirabel, Quebec, has resigned effective May 7.

His future plans are not yet determined, Dolbec said.

“I’m examining different options, different possibilities,” he said “I know for sure I want to stay in the produce industry.”

He hopes to make an announcement on his future in the coming month, he said.

Dolbec said he has enjoyed his more than seven years with HydroSerre Mirabel. His pending departure was not due to conflict within the family owned company, he said.

“It’s a matter of after so many years wanting to meet new challenges,” Dolbec said.

HydroSerre Mirabel, founded in 1980, produces hydroponically and greenhouse grown lettuce varieties and herbs.

Upon Dolbec’s departure, his duties will be handled temporarily by Daniel Terrault, vice president of business development and brother of Sylvain Terrault, president and general manager, according to a statement from the company.
