C&C Produce adds sales, marketing chief

A fresh approach to sales and marketing at C&C Produce, North Kansas City, Mo., via the efforts of John Glenn is giving the produce marketer and repacker new opportunities, according to vice president Nick Conforti.

Glenn has been in the recently created position of sales and marketing manager for about four months.

“John has been getting us meetings and opening doors,” Conforti said.

Conforti said C&C has about 170 employees at its operation, which serves the region from the Dakotas and Minnesota in the north, stretching south to St. Louis and central Kansas.

 

Capital City Fruit hires account manager

Erica Andersen recently joined the staff of Capital City Fruit, Norwalk, Iowa.

As an account manager, Andersen helps Capital City’s clients develop ideas to expand their business and profitability, according to the company’s website.

Anderson has eight years of experience in management, business development and marketing. She is a graduate of Iowa State University, Ames.

 

Greenberg Fruit Co. adds two to staff

Two recent additions to the staff at Greenberg Fruit Co., Omaha, Neb., are focusing on the company’s tradition of quality customer service, according to general manager Brent Bielski.

In Greenberg’s main office, Omaha native Mercedes “Sadie” Pedrosa joined the support staff. Bielski said her bilingual skills make her a great asset in terms of increasing customer service.

Greenberg’s sales staff now includes Damian Grimm, a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with 20 years of experience in the restaurant business.

Bielski said Grimm’s knowledge of the industry allows him to easily relate to customers’ needs. Bielski said a significant portion of Greenberg Fruit’s business is in the foodservice sector and Grimm’s background in restaurants provides context that enhances his ability to serve customers.

 

Liberty Fruit adds vice president of sales

Expanding business spurred officials at Liberty Fruit Co. to restructure their sales department and create a position of vice president of sales.

Reade Sievert is in the new vice president’s seat and will oversee all sales operations. However, Allen Caviar, president of Kansas City, Kan.-based Liberty Fruit, said Sievert will give particular attention to the company’s retail and wholesale operations.

Sievert previously worked at Minneapolis-based Edina, Minn.-based Nash Finch Co.
