With 35 years of produce experience, Marty Head joins the Market Fresh buyers, who are led by Tyler Phipps, according to a news release.
Head comes to Market Fresh from Save-A-Lot Food Stores. He has worked in wholesale and retail. His previous produce work also included stints with Winn Dixie and Supervalu.
In the release announcing the appointment, Market Fresh owner Steve Phipps said Head will help the produce marketing firm grow nationally.
“Our message of consistent quality product and superior service is resonating with both retail and food service customers who expect the very best in a produce program,” he said. “The addition of Marty Head will allow Fresh Market to continue meeting these client expectations and add strength to our already talented team of top flight professionals.”
Founded in 1998, Market Fresh provides products, service and packaging, shipping to more than 40 states, according to the company’s website.
