Courtesy Turbana Corp.TV character appearances in East Stroudsburg, Pa., Price Chopper are part of a promotion designed to help Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.Coral Gables, Fla.-based Turbana Corp. partnered with Orlando, Fla.-based Produce for Kids and Schenectady, N.Y.-based Price Chopper to encourage healthy eating habits in children.
The campaign also hopes to raise a generous amount to be donated to a local children’s hospital, according to Marion Tabard, Turbana’s marketing director.
“Working through 132 Price Chopper stores, the campaign is designed to help Children’s Miracle Network hospitals within Price Chopper’s communities as well as Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, N.H.,” Tabard said.
The promotion includes produce companies besides Turbana, such as Dole Salads, Sunset, NatureSweet, Olivia’s Organics, Shuman Produce and Summeripe, Tabard said.
In store displays, character appearances, goodie bags and other materials are included in the promotion.
“Turbana is affixing its banana clusters with stickers promoting the campaign showing how Turbana supports the Produce for Kids organization,” Tabard said.
