Dayka & Hackett LLC is working with a major metropolitan retailer to promote Disney’s Stars on Ice shows through its fresh table grapes in August and September.
Tim Dayka, managing member of the Reedley, Calif.-based grower-shipper, said consumers will see a large display promoting Disney’s “magic of healthy living,” with a major focus on Disney on Ice coming to town.
“When you buy a bag of grapes, that bag, with the Disney artwork, can be redeemed for a buy-one get-one-free ticket to Disney on Ice,” Dayka said.
“In a promotion like this, everybody wins,” he said.
“Children and families are able to go to attend the show, the retailer wins and there’s no question that we see a significant bump in our sales.”
Dayka said such major promotions take six months to plan.
