(Aug. 15) Fullei Foods Inc., the Miami-headquartered grower and marketer of fresh sprouts and other products under the Fullei Fresh brand, has reported a recall on its 5-ounce containers of alfalfa sprouts.

According to a Fullei news release posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the sprouts are being recalled over worries of potential salmonella contamination.

Grown and packaged by Fullei Fresh in clear plastic cup containers, the sprouts went to foodservice establishments statewide.

As of Aug. 10, there were no illnesses reported in connection with the product.
