(March 13) A new, state-of-the-art greenhouse in Pavilion Township, Mich., will provide Grand Rapids-based Meijer Inc. stores with organic vegetables, according to the Kalamazoo Gazette.

The 4-acre Elzinga & Hoeksema Organic Greenhouse cost $4 million to build over two years and will rely on sustainable energy resources.

The facility reportedly is the first greenhouse of its kind in the state to be built from the ground up solely for the purpose of growing organic products.
