Peter C. Pappas, 66, Pilesgrove, N.J., the president and co-chief executive officer of Clement Pappas & Co., Carneys Point, N.J., died in his home on March 8 after a long illness.
Visitation and funeral services are scheduled for March 12-13 in Bridgeton, N.J.
Pappas helped transform a small vegetable cannery into a large juice and beverage company.
Pappas was chairman of the Processed Apples Institute and served as chairman of the Private Label Manufacturers Association, director of the Rutgers University Food Policy Institute and served twice as president of the New Jersey Food Processors Association, according to an obituary.
Pappas is survived by his wife of more 38 years, Ameline Morin Pappas, three sons, a sister, a brother, and four nieces and three nephews.
