(Jan. 30) Produce Marketing Association, Newark, Del., has scheduled a free Web seminar to help produce suppliers and retailers learn more about key product identification and information standards recommended by a coalition of fresh food industry groups, according to a PMA news release.

According to PMA, the Feb. 27 seminar will explore problems caused by lack of standards for fresh food data, and the benefits to be gained from adopting common standards.

It also will explain the coalition's recommended solutions as laid out in the April 2007 "Industry Roadmap: Building the Fresh Foods Supply Chain of the Future," the release said.

To register, send an email by Feb. 13 to jchronowski@gs1us.org. Include your full name, email address and other vital contact information and place "Fresh Foods Webinar" in the subject line.
