(April 18) A West Sacramento, Calif.-based wholesaler says it is tweaking its top management.

JC Produce LLC, a member of the Pro*Act distribution network, announced April 2 it had appointed Willem Drost as its president, John Tedesco as vice chairman and chief financial officer, Randy Metheny as manager of corporate procurement and purchasing personnel, and Mike Reisenweber as director of corporate information technology. All four serve as the company’s managing directors.

The changes took effect immediately, Jim Lennane, chairman and chief executive officer, said in a news release.

Drost is placing particular focus on company efforts to grow in the value-added segments in the retail and foodservice sectors. He directs JC Produce’s sales and marketing departments, including national accounts, regional and local direct sales.

Tedesco is concentrating on all internal controls and business aspects of the company’s operations to enhance customer services and operational efficiencies.

Metheny manages all procurement and purchasing personnel.

Reisenweber is overseeing installation of a new information system, which the company says will facilitate ordering and accessing product information.
