Terra Bella, Calif.-based Setton Pistachio Inc., wants to make sure retailers know the exact product codes of recalled bulk pistachios.

The company is voluntarily recalling all of its pistachios — including roasted shelled and roasted in-shell — from its 2008 crop. The recall also includes raw shelled pistachios from its 2008 crop.

Raw, in-shell pistachios are not included in the recall.

There have been no confirmed cases of Salmonella associated with the recall.

“The total amount being recalled from Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc. is approximately 14 million pounds,” said Fabia D’Arienzo, a spokeswoman for the company.

D’Arienzo said the recall is still in progress and Setton Pistachio is unable to determine how much has been returned.

In addition to previously announced consumer packs, the recall includes bulk packages bearing either a seven or eight as the fourth digit of the FMO number.

These packages shipped after Sept. 1.
