Commerce City, Colo.-based Ringer & Son Brokerage Co. Inc.’s sweet corn crop was running five to eight days later than normal, said Joshua Johnson, president.

The company is set to begin harvesting the regular crop of sweet corn July 22.

Ringer & Son sweet corn is grown near Delta, Colo., and is marketed under the Mountain Fresh label.

Ringer & Son also sells Rocky Ford cantaloupe, watermelons, peaches, apples cherries and other Colorado-grown produce.
