U.S. Youth Soccer players enjoy free oranges from the Western Cape Citrus Producers Forum at their national championship tournament July 22-26 in Lancaster, Ma.

Soccer moms didn’t have to worry about the halftime snacks for their kids in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships. The Citrusdal, South Africa-based Western Cape Citrus Producers Forum took care of that for them.

The group gave away more than 18,000 South African oranges at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships July 22-26 in Lancaster, Mass.

This was a first-time sponsorship for the forum, and one it might continue, said Lisa Packer, a spokeswoman for the group. Next year’s championships are scheduled for July 21-25 in Overland Park, Kan.
