The promotion, scheduled for June 15 through July 31, uses the hashtag #EATCHERRIES and the Yakima, Wash.-based grower-shipper’s social media outlets to link cherries with summer activities.
To enter, consumers will upload an original photo to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest showing their favorite summer activity or their favorite way to eat sweet Superfresh cherries. The caption should include #EATCHERRIES; the company tag should be @Superfreshgrowers.
A random drawing in mid-August will determine three winners, according to a news release. The grand prize is $1,000; other prizes are for $500 and $250.
Domex Superfresh Growers will offer in-store and online partnership opportunities, including ready-to-post social content, predesigned point-of-sale materials and cosponsored Twitter parties.
“(We) are fueling an active online dialog with our consumers, generating excitement for our categories and building a community of loyal fans,” Howard Nager, vice president of marketing, said in the release.
