Bayer CropScience of Monheim, Germany, has signed an agreement with Arysta LifeScience Corp. of Tokyo, Japan, for the global licensing and sale of fluoxastrobin fungicide worldwide.

Under the agreement, Arysta will gain exclusive access to fluoxastrobin for all crop and non-crop uses except seed treatments and certain Bayer proprietary mixtures, according to a news release.

Arysta already marketed fluoxastrobin in the United States, Canada and Japan as Evito in fruiting vegetables and potatoes and Disarm in turfgrass, under an arrangement made with Bayer in 2005.

Arysta now plans to develop the strobilurin fungicide for use on a wide range of crops, including potatoes, vegetables and pome fruit.
