The nation's highbush blueberry growers and importers have voted to continue the Blueberry Promotion, Research and Information Order for another five years.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture conducted the referendum from July 5-26, according to a news release.

Eighty-eight percent of eligible voters representing 98 percent of the blueberry volume produced or imported voted to continue the program.
