Racine, Wis.- based Case IH, long known for making large, high-horsepower tractors, has introduced a smaller rig designed for the tighter spaces and narrow rows of orchards and vineyards.
The Farmall 105V tractor has 90 PTO horsepower and an engine that complies with the Environmental Protection Agency's Tier 3 emissions standards, according to a news release.
With a low center of gravity, it is designed to run under low-hanging tree branches and hilly terrain.
It comes in a variety of configurations, including the standard front-wheel drive and an optional two-wheel drive.
Growers can chose among five PTO configurations as well an option for up to three remotes.
The tractor comes with a choice of either ROPs (roll-over production) or an enclosed cab.
The cab version provides heat, air conditioning, a sliding front screen and improved cab air filtration.
