The Environmental Protection Agency has approved the addition of spotted wing drosophila to the label for Imidan insecticide.

Imidan, which contains the active ingredient phosmet, is marketed by Gowan Co. of Yuma, Ariz., according to a news release.

The label update covers applications for spotted wing drosophila on apples, apricots, blueberries, tart cherries, grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums and prunes.
