Fresno, Calif.-based Netafim USA plans to introduce a portable drip irrigation system at the 3i Show—Industry, Implements, Irrigation—in Dodge City, Kan., July 10.
The PolyNet system features a flexible piping system for use both above and below ground, according to a news release.
Its collapsible design features mainline and sub-mainline piping that allow growers to easily install, recoil and relocate the drip system to another field or different configuration.
The system also features leakage-free lateral connectors and integrated welded outlets, spaced according to customer requirements.
The result is an easy-to-assemble system that lowers labor and maintenance costs, according to the release.
The system’s cost per acre is substantially less than a below-ground PVC system.
PolyNet’s thermostatic collapsible irrigation pipe is available in a wide range of diameters.
It is made from rugged polyethylene materials for durability.
No specialized installation tools are needed—the system comes with a connector kit and an array of branching and lateral fittings.
