The Oregon Department of Agriculture has issued a news release on behalf of two firms involved in the strawberry/E. coli outbreak.

Ron Spada Farms of Portland is recalling about 4,800 flats of strawberries sold between June 1 and Aug. 1 because the may be contained with E. coli O157:H7, according to the release.

In addition, Growers Outlet of Portland is recalling fresh strawberries for the same reason.

Both operations purchased the berries from Jaquith Strawberry Farm of Washington County, Ore., which has been identified as the source of the infection.
