Miami-based Platform Specialty Products Corp. plans to acquire Arysta LifeScience Ltd. for $3.5 billion, pending regulatory approval.

Platform, owned by international equity firm Permira, had previously acquired Chemtura AgroSolutions and Agriphar, a European agricultural chemical company.
