The U.S. Department of Agriculture is looking to fill 13 open seats on the National Watermelon Promotion Board. Nominations are due by June 2.

Openings for the three-year terms include eight importer, two producer and two first handler seats, as well as one board-nominated member that represents the public. The producer and handler seats are for District 1, which covers 28 Florida counties. To be eligible for nomination, producers and first handlers must grow 10 or more acres of watermelon.
