The Allen Lund Co. Flatbed office paid to transport two 40-foot containers of lumber and nails to Mission Haiti. The lumber was transported from ALC’s Atlanta, Ga.-based office to the Los Angeles area on Jan. 13, according to a news release.
“The lumber is going to be extremely valuable in Haiti to help rebuild after the devastating Hurricane Matthew,” said Karl Holtsnider, Mission Haiti coordinator.
Allen Lund Co. specializes as a national third-party transportation broker that works with shippers and carriers across the nation to arrange dry, refrigerated and flatbed freight.
The donation will help rebuild schools and churches destroyed by Hurricane Matthew.
“The Allen Lund Company Flatbed office is proud to have provided assistance to Mission Haiti,” said Chris Clelland, manager of the ALC Flatbed office, in the release.
