The Environmental Protection Agency has registered Solida herbicide for use on a broad range of crops, including stone fruit, citrus, apples, nuts, vines, potatoes and tomatoes.

It contains the active ingredient rimsulfuron, according to a news release.

The product, which is from Cheminova Inc. of Research Triangle Park, N.C., targets broadleaf weeds, including marestail, mallow and fleabane.

The herbicide is formulated as a 25-percent water dispersible granule and can be used for in-season applications.
