New customer service options are available from Tomra Sorting Foods, a supplier of sensor-based sorting solutions.
The company, part of Norwegian-based Tomra Systems ASA, said in a news release it has launched a division called Tomra Care to answer customers’ changing service needs.
Tomra Care takes into account the complete lifecycle of sorting and peeling machines, according to the release.
Service plan options include maintenance and optimization by a Tomra machine expert for up to 12 times a year, according to the release.
Service in the past was focused on reacting to technical issues, Andreas Reddemann, global service director at Tomra Sorting Food, said in the release. That has changed, Reddemann said, to reflect customer care and service of the equipment over its whole lifecycle.
The new service portfolio is available for the entire installed base and is also offered in the newest generation of sorting machines, according to the release.
