Experts from Michigan State University are currently surveying the state's blueberries for blueberry scorch and shock, two viral diseases.
They will randomly collect samples of asymptomatic leaves. They also will collect samples of leaves with obvious symptoms.
Altogether, they plan to test 35,000 samples. To date, they've collected and tested 8,000. The test is free and voluntary.
The first two weeks found three separate sites testing positive for blueberry scorch.
