The Maitland-based Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association and other proponents of legalizing farmworkers support a bill before Congress called AgJobs, which could forge a path to documented, permanent residency for those laborers.


Should the bill fail and undocumented workers be deported, the availability and security of the U.S. food supply could be in jeopardy, they contend.
