President Obama's recent decision to rescind the Cross Border Trucking Pilot Program has prompted Mexican officials to implement tariffs on fresh produce and agricultural products.

As a result, shippers are hurrying to send trucks across the border before they take effect, while others have canceled orders.

The pilot truck program, which allows Mexican trucks on U.S. highways, was implemented in 2007 and was a product of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
