The Midwest Produce Expo continues its tour around key metro areas as the Fifth Annual edition will be Aug. 15-17, 2016 in Kansas City, Mo.

“Kansas City is a great produce city with history and is still a huge market for the agriculture industry,” said The Packer publisher Shannon Shuman.

The event will be in the city’s Crown Center area at the Sheraton hotel, with the expo on Aug. 16.

The Packer’s headquarters are in suburban Kansas City, in Lenexa, Kan.

Shuman said the top retailers in the Kansas City metro area — Wal-Mart, Associated Wholesale Grocers (who supply Ball’s and Cosentino’s stores), Hy-Vee, Target and Aldi — have all attended the Midwest Expo in the past, and he’s confident they will in 2016.
