Produce distributor Arrowfarms, Chelsea, Mass., and its subsidiaries Morning Kiss Organic, Goldbell and DiSilva Fruit are on track to exceed the amount of produce it donated last year.
The Arrowfarms companies last year donated 855,000 pounds of produce to Boston nonprofit Fair Foods, a partnership that goes back 25 years, according to a news release.
The nonprofit’s acquisition of an additional truck has allowed it to accept more donations this year, according to the release.
“Access for all people to healthy, nutritious produce is at the core of the Morning Kiss Organic mission. We are happy to be able to contribute to the community, and grateful for the hard work by Fair Foods on the distribution end,” Mike Guptill of Morning Kiss Organic said in the release.
