Despite the vocal criticism of anti-immigration leglislation in Arizona, a Texas lawmaker plans to introduce a similar proposal.

Rep. Debbie Riddle of Tomball says she will introduce a bill when the Legislature reconvenes in January.


The Arizona law requires local and state law enforcement officials to question people about their immigration status. It's a crime if you don't have the proper registration documents.
