The U.S. Department of Agriculture has re-established its Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee and is seeking members to serve on an it.
The committee makes recommendations to agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack on issues that affect the produce industry, according to a news release.
The committee, comprises up to 25 members, who will two-year terms. Members represent growers, shippers, wholesalers, brokers, retailers, processors, foodservice suppliers, state agencies, state departments of agriculture and trade associations.
