Issaquah, Wash.-based Vanguard International Group has selected Brian Birdsall as president for Wapato, Wash.-based Pride Packing Co., which Vanguard acquired this month.
Byron Ihnen has been named vice president of sales and marketing, according to a news release. Brett Calhoun continues as the general manager and vice president of Washington farming operations at Pride Packing.
“Brian and Byron have admirable operational and commercial accomplishments, and I know they will drive great success for our company, employees, and customers alongside Brett,” Craig Stauffer, Vanguard CEO, said in the release. “They have proven to be successful and trusted leaders, and I could not be more pleased about their appointments at this important time.”
Birdsall comes to Pride with more than 30 years of senior management experience in the Washington fruit industry, including positions at Sage Fruit, Brewster Heights Packing and Wenatchee Chief. Ihnen has worked in senior roles at companies including Hansen Fruit and Yakima Fresh.
