Tropicana Products Inc., a division of PepsiCo Inc., has announced it is going beyond the juice aisle into the produce section with the introduction of Tropicana Pure, a line of 100 percent fruit juices.

Tropicana Pure will make its debut in four nutrient-rich blends: Pomegranate Blueberry, Mango Orange, Triple Berry and Valencia Orange.

“Consumers across many categories are trading up to higher quality and better taste, and Tropicana Pure will provide that enhanced juice experience,” Jim McGinnis, vice president of marketing for Tropicana, said in a news release. “Tropicana Pure is the first leading brand to enter the super-premium juice category, one of the fasted growing categories in the produce section.”

The company says the juices contain no added sugar or artificial flavors and are made from select, sun-ripened fruit. They should be placed among their fresh-fruit counterparts in the produce department and have a suggested retail price of $3.79 for a 1-liter bottle, the news release said.

Tropicana Pure is available this summer in select grocery stores throughout the United States.
