A vegetable growers meeting will be held 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, at the UF/IFAS Southwest Florida Research and Education Center, 2686 Highway 29 N. in Immokalee. The agenda is as follows:
- 6 p.m.: Welcome and introduction by Gene McAvoy, regional vegetable/horticulture agent
- 6:30-7:15 p.m.: "AgriPhage: Leveraging Nature for Safe, Effective Bacteria Control in Tomato and Pepper." Presentations given by Jeff Jones of the University of Florida Department of Plant Pathology and Randy Scott, vice president of the AgriPhage Division at OmniLytics Inc.
- 7:15-7:45 p.m.: Question and answer session
1.5 CEUs and CCA CEU credits have been requested. Dinner will be provided courtesy of OmniLytics Inc. Attendees will receive a gift and have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for a door prize.
