The U.S. Department of Agriculture has imposed sanctions on two produce companies for failure to pay Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act reparation awards, according to a USDA news release.
The following companies and responsibly connected individuals are currently restricted from operating in the produce industry:
- Killian’s Green Inc., doing business as Killian’s Harvest Green, Yeadon, Pa., for failing to pay a $9,142 award in favor of a Pennsylvania seller. Edward Dever was listed as the officer, director and major stockholder of the business.
- Sunset Trading LLC, Greeley, Colo., for failing to pay a $29,584 award in favor of a California seller. Tammera Anderson and Darin Anderson were listed as members of the business.
