The U.S. Department of Agriculture has imposed sanctions on two produce companies for failure to pay Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act reparation awards, according to a USDA news release.
The following companies and individuals are barred from operating in the produce industry:
- KSP Enterprise Inc., Fullerton, Calif., for failing to pay a $183,594 award in favor of a Washington seller. Brian Chong was listed as the officer, director, and major stockholder of the business.
- Sage Med LLC, Albuquerque, N.M., for failing to pay a $1,266 award in favor of a New Mexico seller. Henry Fonseca was listed as a member of the business.
