Dan Galbraith serves as sections editor for The Packer, a position he has held since joining the company in November 2006.

He coordinates assignments and edits copy for The Packer's 150 annual special sections (shipping profiles, marketing profiles, know your markets and special reports), as well as helping facilitate the editing of stories and copy flow for the weekly editions and daily Web site updates to www.thepacker.com. He writes editorials and editorial columns for The Packer and is a member of The Packer's editorial board that meets weekly.

Dan also provides analysis of results from monthly Produce Pulse surveys and presents his findings in columns and through e-mail newsletter blasts.
 
A 15-time National Newspaper Award winner who also served as a paid contributing writer for the 2002 bestselling book "Chicken Soup For the Golfer's Soul: The 2nd Round," Dan also takes on news editor duties whenever he is out of the office on business or vacation.

Dan works closely with almost a dozen Packer freelance writers and serves as the immediate supervisor for Packer staffers working in field offices. He also heads The Packer's student internship program.

Previously, Dan has worked in editor roles at Gannett, NPG Newspapers and Powls Publishing. He has also worked for the Topeka Capital-Journal and the Sedalia Democrat newspapers.
