Newark, N.J.-based AeroFarms has hired Roger Post as the company’s new chief operating officer.
For the indoor vertical farming company, Post will oversee all operations, food safety and quality assurance, engineering, farm construction, data systems and research and development, according to a news release.
Post brings 28 years of manufacturing and supply chain operations experience with food companies including Danone and Kraft Nabisco, according to the release.
David Rosenberg, CEO of the vertical farming company, said Post has a proven track record and is a great addition to the company.
Post holds a degree in industrial engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a masters of business administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School, according to the release.
“I am excited to join AeroFarms on their mission to build sustainable farms globally to feed the world by leveraging my deep experience in large-scale food and supply chain, and I am looking forward to helping them create a positive culture where business can be a force for good,” Post said in the release.
