Phytelligence has hired Curt Granger as vice president of global sales for the company’s grape segment.
At the company, an agricultural biotechnology firm, Granger will lead the pursuit of customers for rootstock, whole plant and genetic analysis in the grape market, according to a news release.
Granger was the director of communications for the California Kiwifruit Commission for eight years, and was executive vice president of marketing for the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association. He also had a vice president of marketing role with the Ripe ‘N Ready brand. Most recently, he’s been developing markets for biopesticides, according to the release.
He started his career at California vineyards, working his way to becoming a bulk wine sales manager, placing more than 5,000 tons of grapes in contracts with wineries, according to the release.
“Curt’s strategic thinking and expertise in greenhouse, bio-agriculture and crop innovation align well with our objectives to deliver genetically confirmed, virus-free plants to growers,” Phytelligence CEO Ken Hunt said in the release.
