Andy Tudor, vice president of business development at Rainier Fruit Co., Selah, Wash., has left the company and opened a consulting agency.

Tudor said he is offering marketing strategies, business development planning and other services at AT Ag Consulting, Yakima, Wash.

He joined Rainier Fruit in 2012, and was key in positioning the fruit company as an organic supplier. Rainier developed new programs with retailers and increased dollar sales and volumes under his leadership, according to the release.

Tudor’s involvement was also instrumental to the company’s Wholesome to the Core program, as well as marketing campaigns including sponsorship of the Boston Marathon and the Kids Obstacle Challenge, according to the release.

“It was difficult to leave Rainier, but I was proud to have served our customers and helped them grow their business for nearly 8 great years,” Tudor said in the release. “Our industry is built on relationships and collaboration, never has that been more apparent than during the last month and I’m excited to bring my talents to new organizations looking to grow their business and offer innovative programming and sales leadership.” 

He has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, with sales positions at Holtzinger Fruit, L&M Cos., and was director of marketing at FirstFruits Marketing.
