The Washington Apple Education Foundation replaced its annual scholarship luncheon with a scholarship celebration film.
The six-minute “Celebrating Our Future” congratulates the foundation’s scholarship recipients.
“A couple of months ago it became clear that we would not be gathering 1,000-plus students, parents, donors and volunteers together for our annual celebration luncheons,” Chris Willett, apple foundation chairman, said in a news release. “At that time, this idea was launched as a way an even larger group of people could enjoy the happiness, we each feel when attending the luncheon.” The video is on the foundation’s website, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
The event is an important fundraiser for the Washington Apple Education Foundation, and gives the industry the opportunity to recognize students and scholarship donors.
“It is the goal of the foundation that their scholarship recipients not just enroll in college but that they graduate on time and prepared to launch their careers,” according to the release.
