Aptean, Alpharetta, Ga., has acquired LinkFresh, an enterprise resource planning solutions provider used by companies selling fresh produce and other foods.

The purchase of United Kingdom-based LinkFresh accelerates Aptean’s reach of cloud-based solutions, according to a news release. LinkFresh helps growers, packers, distributors and other supply chain members “critical functionality” to drive growth and operate more efficiently, according to the release.

“Acquiring Linkfresh expands our market-leading solutions for food organizations,” TVN Reddy, CEO of Aptean, said in the release. “The addition of Linkfresh’s dedicated focus and expertise in fresh foods, as well as its strong UK footprint, solidifies Aptean’s position as a provider of choice to food and beverage companies across North Amerca and the United Kingdom.” 

Jeremy Wardell, LinkFresh general manager, said the company is able to service the fresh produce business segment because it understands the industry’s unique challenges.

“Combining our industry, functional and technical expertise with the experience and capabilities of Aptean allows us to provide a stronger offering to our customers, delivering increased value and ensuring they consistently exceed their operational and revenue goals,” Wardell said in the release.
